The Plymouth Institute of Health and Care Research is the core of research activity, providing a thriving community that conducts adventurous world-leading research with the explicit purpose of improving the health and care of the populations we serve. You will be responsible for the delivery of research as part of the Primary Care Dentistry Group within the Education and Workforce Development theme, with a particular focus on research into the dental foundation training programme. The role will involve undertaking a variety of research activities, including: undertaking literature searches, data analysis and synthesis; developing study documents and data collection instruments; and disseminating findings through academic articles, reports and presentations. You will have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, and you will also have a postgraduate qualification. You will have knowledge of research design, and experience of conducting research and analysing qualitative and/or mixed-methods data. Knowledge of the healthcare workforce or clinical education would be desirable. You will be an experienced team worker and will be accustomed to working to deadlines. You will be able to prioritise and self-manage, and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term position for 12 months, due to funding. Flexible working options including job share will be considered.
