Job Description:
Industrial Placement Internship where the intern will, through working on industrially current and relevant projects, learn how industry research into microbiology and next-generation lignocellulosic biofuels is conducted, analyzed, and reported, in addition, will impart novel methods and techniques developed by the intern to Shell. The intern brings new techniques and views on how to approach difficult lab problems based on their education and experience.
Intern will support, direct and lead projects and research, set up, run, and analyze day-to-day microbiology experiments consisting of genetic transformations, fermentation parameter systems analysis, microbial metabolite and cell (FACS) screening. Reporting and communication of results with Project Scientist and leadership team, presentation of project to team, and writing up results.
